Hello Friends,

Another year has come to its end. I am sure all of you had your own share of learning specially after two difficult years due to pandemic. At the same time I am sure you all definitely would have taken the help of the biggest knowledge resource during this time. Books by far are the biggest resource for gaining knowledge about people, society, human behaviour, science, technology and what not. It is our lifelong companion who gives us the best gift, knowledge. Over the last few  years as my reading habit has reached its peak, at the same time I have become lot more choosy in terms of  selection of books. Like previous years this year too I got to read some of the amazing works. Below listed are some of my favourite ones of this year.

What a perfect start to the year. Born out of the author's personal experience this book tells us what it takes to grow strong brain muscles. Narrated in a simple manner the habits that don't allow us to be the person we all wish to be. Personal experience of hardships and journey of coming out of them by the author makes it a delightful read.

The Dolphin And The Shark By Namita Thapar :

One of the little masterclass on entrepreneurial success. Namita Thapar is a well known name in the business world. Her stint as a judge in the first edition of popular business reality show Shark Tank India made her a household name too. The book includes various business lessons in the form of her own experience while running Indian pharma business as well as references from various business leaders who left a long lasting impact on her. Icing on the cake is definitely her experience at Shark Tank India along with the mention of her learnings from the show.

Indomitable By Arundhati Bhattacharya :

I had the privilege of reading about the journey of two of the greatest business stalwarts & exceptional female leaders of our generation. One of them is definitely the much talked about one by Arundhati Bhattacharya, the former chairperson of SBI who narrated her journey in an amazing manner. Her early  struggles while establishing herself in a men dominated corporate world & subsequent journey of success makes it an inspiring read. It's a no filter story of a modern day leader who keeps inspiring to hustle hard for success. A must read on leadership I would say. Click here for my review.

Booming Digital Stars By Harsh Pamnani & Manish Pandey :

A book on the much talked about creator economy & its torch bearers. Journey of making it big in the creator economy by 11 individuals who are now well known names in their respective fields due to their creative work. Lot of us want to be that talked about social media influencer or Youtube vlogger. But don't know where to start. This is the book for them. The Biography Of A Failed Venture By Prashant Desai :

Last few years I have got to read quite a few enthralling startup stories. This year is no exception. But this year my favourite one is not a story of stupendous success, rather a story of failure. It's the ambitious journey of one of the made in India sports brands which could not sustain despite having all the ingredients of success. How faulty decision making shattered an ambitious dream makes this a must read for all the budding entrepreneurs. This book tells in very simple language of the things not to follow in your entrepreneurial journey. An honest narration by an entrepreneur will make you read this one again & again. Ending the year on a positive note. Experience of Covid-19 will remain with us for a long time. But what is more important is to utilize the learnings earned from it in a positive manner. That is why this masterpiece by legendary actor Anupam Kher is so special. It talks about how to deal with an unpredictable situation like covid pandemic. It's like fresh air. The book talks about all the positive aspects of a difficult situation in life. Must say a great book to end the year on a happy note.
