IPL has produced so many young talents over the last decade for Indian cricket. This year too quite a few youngsters are exhibiting their talent in the mega event. At the same time this year has been an extremely productive year for some of the veterans of the league. One name among those definitely deserves a mention is Ajinkya Rahane. He is someone who has served Indian cricket for years specially in red ball cricket with some extraordinary performances. He has even captained  India to some of the memorable wins in test cricket. Unfortunately he was dropped from the Indian team due to lack of substantial performances. But a player of his calibre is definitely not going to give up so easily as setbacks are regular feature in a sportsperson's life. He kept piling on runs in the domestic circuit along with working  on his fitness. He was not getting enough opportunities in IPL too. But the current edition of IPL turned out to be a real gamechanger for him.

Playing for Chennai Super Kings this year he is really showing a never seen before  side of his batting. Batting at no.3 for CSK he is giving that much needed stability to their middle order along with a attacking style of batting. Credit to him for playing a completely different style at this phase of his career after majorly being termed as a defensive batter throughout his career. It's a testament to his hard work, passion for the game that made him giving a complete transformation to his playing style. Everyone is enjoying Rahane 2.0 version. As a reward for his hard work he has made a comeback to Indian test team for the WTC final to be played in June this year. Rahane's example is an eye opener to all those who give up after facing certain setbacks in life. He has proved again why a sportsperson is always an inspiration to many. Hopefully he continues to surge in his path & brings lot more to success for him as well as the teams he plays for.

Stay tuned for more at this space.
